Living organisms have ability to produce young once. The process of living birth to the young ones of it's own kind is called reproduction. Lower organisms reproduce asexually whereas the higher organisms reproduce sexually.Reproduction is essential

1. To increases the number of it's own kind &
2. For continuation of race of the organism.But a non-living like a stone or a chair cannot reproduce it's own kind.
